Casinha Do Petisco – Town Centre TripAdvisor
This is a small, family, restaurant with great service and amazing food so reservations are a must! The portions are huge and the prawns are my recommendation.

O Alberto – Just 2 minutes away TripAdvisor
Excellent Portuguese, open-kitchen cooking, all from fresh. The owner-chef (Alberto) cooks everything to order and has owned the restaurant for over 30 years. We visit at least once every visit and the food is always the same, excellent. Top recommendations from us are the steak and the salmon.

Calhou – Town Centre TripAdvisor
A lovely, family-run restaurant specialising in freshly cooked Portuguese food. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic. The fish and prawns Cataplana is one of the best we have had and the homemade desserts are excellent (made by mum). Both the house white and red wines are excellent and the complimentary liqueurs were lovely and completed a perfect meal.

Excellent Portuguese food from a family restaurant. Everything was extremely clean and the staff attentive. I tried the Franceshina, which is a delicious combination of meats (sausage, bacon and steak) baked with cheese and bread cooked in a lovely sauce. I had mine with a fried egg, but that is optional. My wife had the sea bream, which was also delicious. We are definitely coming back here again.

Casa Do Prego – Town Centre TripAdvisor
Excellent food, extremely popular and a lively, vibrant atmosphere so booking ahead is strongly recommended. The food is Fusion Portuguese with quality raw materials and great sauces. Service is top-notch.

CIUCCIO – Town Centre Trip Advisor
This is a fairly new Lagos restaurantand it is already a Lagos culinary favourite, with many guests lauding its delectable homemade pasta and seasonally inspired dishes. The charming and lively ambience is consistently celebrated. Due to its popularity, securing a reservation is recommended to avoid long waits.

Saporito – Near Apartment Trip Advisor
Great atmosphere, service and exceptional authentic Italian food. The chef is Italian and he is also the owner. When we visited the restaurant had only recently opened and so it was only open for dinner on Friday and Sunday (lunches all week). The Estella was cold and the house red and white were very good. We both had the lasagne, which was probably the best lasagne we have ever had, very cheesy and lots of sauce.

This is must visit for us when we are at the apartment. It isn’t your standard Indian fare but much better and very reasonably priced.

The Dumpling House – Near Apartment TripAdvisor
A Nepalese culinary gem tucked away in a side street behind the Adega Da Marina. The only Nepalese food we had sampled before was curry. So, the fried dumplings, chow mein, and thukpa ( noodle soup and dumplings) were a pleasant surprise. We had fried prawn dumplings as a starter, they came with 2 sauces and were delicious. Next time, we will have the sweet chilli dumplings. The chow mein was completely different to a Chinese chow mein and so much better, one of the tastiest meals I have ever had. The server was delightful and patiently explained the menu to us. The house red wine was surprisingly good.
